What is the Ranablue Earth Value Proposition? As new entrants into the landscape of environmental "cause" organizations, we see a crowded space of NGO's, State/Local governments and the Feds all working on various aspects of the problem. What we quickly realized was that the problem was not consistently defined across the board. So we set about defining the problem as simply as we could and in a way that would enable us to side-step falling into the war zone of rhetoric about the science and politics of conservation.
For us, the problem is simple. People need to do more every day to help make this world a more livable environment. How? By findings ways to re-use or reduce consumption when possible.
With the problem/answer so simply stated, we can provide a value proposition that helps us get the job done and makes us different. At Ranablue Earth, we are not saying there is no place for all the other players, we are just saying that we are going to keep our focus on a few key areas that can make a small impact each day. As the strength of the model becomes evident, we can begin to take our focus off of the local/regional perspective and begin a national effort to do exactly the same thing.
So what is our value proposition? At Ranablue Earth we think it is essential to have business experience and understanding that is not easy to find in the non-profit and government space. Our experience as business owners, entrepreneurs and executives provides us with a unique insight into how business gets done. It also enables us to understand the pain points of a business and help find solutions that not only help the environment but also help to save money or expand the customer base. We believe in the win-win. In today's political and economic climate the first instinct for a business is to strengthen the defenses and prepare for a long siege. We know we are in position to enter the stronghold with credibility and make the case for why, what we propose, is good business AND good stewardship of the earth.
